Hannah is an 8 year-old girl who has an eating disorder called ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). Many kids with ARFID end up needing to be hospitalized and dependent on feeding tubes due to malnutrition. Hannah was determined to find a way to get help and get better.
ARFID is a fairly new diagnosis in the DSM-V, and there is limited information available. It was a big challenge to find resources and support.Hannah has always loved to be on camera, so Hannah and her mom started documenting her journey through social media as a way to motivate her to try new foods.
Since starting this ARFID journey, Hannah has made incredible strides, and has been an inspiration for many others. She has used her voice to share her journey and spread awareness. Hannah has built a community for those with ARFID, and her hope is to help others just like her.
